Best Wooden Gifts from Cherry Maple or Walnut we never use secondary woods like Beech or Birch. Please know your order will make a difference here in working rural New Hampshire.
With our artisans’ use of premium hardwoods and our assortment of sizes, shapes and techniques, you are sure to find a piece to suit your needs, your taste and your budget.
We know the quality of the wood makes a difference to the durability and beauty of a wooden bowl. That's why all our bowls are crafted from premium North American hardwoods – mostly cherry, maple and black walnut. These are the woods that artisans prefer to work with, the woods that will delight your eye.
From these woods, our local and New England artisans create a wide variety of bowls. Our solid wood bowls are made from one continuous segment of a tree. Segmented bowls are formed using stacked planks that are hollowed out, a technique that allows for deeper bowls, as well as bowls with flaring sides and tulip-shaped bowls. And with our various one-of-a-kind and small-batch production bowls, there’s something for everyone.
On hand, we have made in the USA cutting boards crafted by artisans who live locally and throughout New England. The boards come in many styles and interesting shapes from traditional bar styles to chopping boards for food prep to large end-grain chopping blocks. Handmade of cherry, maple and multi-wood blends, they make attractive cheese-tasting and other food presentations.
Our boards make great holiday gifts and, at our low prices, many one-of-a-kind boards sell out fast in October, November and December.
Our selection of kitchen tools and spoons is distinctive and, like our boards, they are handcrafted by New Hampshire artisans, many of them local. Maple, cherry, black walnut and even lilac are favorites woods for traditional and unusual spoons and kitchen tools.
We offer spoons, cheese spreaders, salad servers, pie servers and utensil caddies, and many are outlet priced.
Like all of our hand crafted wood products our lazy susan turntables are constructed from natural hardwoods, harvested in North America and made in the USA. Our turntables come in a variety of sizes and are perfect for providing easy access to food, tea, coffee, and condiments.
