Made In New Hampshire: A Bowl Is Not Always A Bowl New hampshire Bowl and Board gift store filled with NH made gifts conviently located near Concord New Hampshire A favorite wood of choice for our bowls is Cherry hardwood. Bold, tight, variegated grain, rich color continues to bloom with use. With an eye to the future, we support not-for-profit organizations that sustain crafts people and environmental organizations supporting well managed forests. click the images below to Browse New Hampshire made giftsNo Chemicals Here Thank YouEach bowl is hand sanded and finished in a bee's wax and mineral oil finish, hand rubbed until the bowls unique grain is presented. Our finish is as carefully applied as the care you took in choosing your bowl or board. We never use dyes, stains, fillers or faux techniques to make lesser quality woods look better than they are. Maintaining Your Hardwood BowlA simple hand wash in warm, soapy water and towel dry will maintain your bowl for years to come. Do not soak your bowl, leave in standing water or place in a dishwasher. We recommend our Bowl and Board Rub finish, the same finish that helped you choose the unique graining of your bowl at the time of purchase. Hand rub your bowl inside and out with bowl rub and a soft cloth after each use to maintain luster. A heated home in the winter will require a more regular application of bowl rub.
About Our BackstampOften mistaken at first glance for a bicycle rider, our back stamp is two cherries. The cherries represent our dual commitment to quality and unique design. Many bowls and boards sold as Cherry are birch or beech that has been stained, glazed or rubbed with a formula guaranteed to not be food safe. Cherry is at least four times more expensive than lesser quality wood. Cherry produces a bowl or board to be used for generations to enjoy. Watching and listening to our customer’s s when they are choosing our wooden bowl makes our hand work worth while. We proudly label every bowl with our back stamp. The outline of the state of New Hampshire as part of our name and back stamp is a constant reminder we are committed to old-fashioned Yankee values. We have continued to thrive because of our Yankee belief - never reduce quality to make a sale. Visit Our Concord NH gift store and see for yourself |
